Dark New Day carrying on
Dark New Day will record its new album in September, according to a post at the band's MySpace page by guitarist Clint Lowery. The group's future has been the subject of speculation with Lowery getting a gig as Korn's touring guitarist and both drummer Will Hunt and guitarist Troy McLawhorn joining Evanescence on tour. But Lowery tried to calm fans by writing, "I'm here to say (Dark New Day) will live on...All of us are gonna be off in September after Family Values and we will record our record then. The great thing is I'll be out there with Troy and Will and we can continue writing with them for the new record...I promise all of you we will make a slamming record and it should be out in March of next year."
Lowery also promised that the band will post demos of "at least" five new songs during the weeks ahead.
Korn and Evanescence will be co-headlining the Family Values tour this summer, which should give the three Dark New Day members lots of opportunities to work on new material.
Dark New Day released its debut album, Twelve Year Silence, in June of 2005. The disc featured the single "Brother."
