Evanescence singer gets hitched
Evanescence singer Amy Lee was a busy woman last weekend: in addition to firing guitarist John LeCompt and accepting the resignation of drummer Rocky Gray, the vocalist apparently found time to get married. According to Little Rock, Arkansas TV station KTHV, Lee walked down the aisle with New York-based therapist Josh Hartzler. Lee and Hartzler were reportedly friends for several years and began dating seriously sometime after Lee broke up with Seether frontman Shaun Morgan in the fall of 2005. Publicists for Lee had no comment on the news.
Lee now lives in New York City but is a native of Little Rock, where Evanescence was formed.
Lee fired longtime Evanescence guitarist LeCompt last Friday, prompting LeCompt to blast the singer in a scathing online post. Gray quit the group following LeCompt's dismissal. Lee issued a statement saying that LeCompt and Gray were "ready to move on."
Evanescence is next scheduled to play live at the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio on May 19th. The band is also slated to co-headline the Family Values tour with Korn, beginning on July 20th in St. Louis.
