Fall Out Boy bassist takes on "EMO" Spiderman

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz has a beef with Spider-Man, according to RollingStone. Wentz has become aware of reports that during one stretch of Spider-Man 3 in which the superhero is possessed by an evil alien goo, actor Tobey Maguire pushes his bangs forward and even seems to be sporting a touch of eyeliner -- looking, as a matter of fact, a lot like Wentz. The bass player, who hasn't seen the film yet, said, "My nephew, who doesn't know anything at all, says I was in a movie. I was like, 'All right...' I've heard about this from so many people."

The webcrawler's flirtation with the "emo" look seems to have gotten under Wentz's skin. During a show in Moline, Illinois last week, he shouted "Spider-Man 3 sucks," before starting up a song. So far there've been no reports of emo or Goth kids boycotting the hugely successful movie.

Fall Out Boy is currently headlining the Honda Civic Tour and played Cincinnati on Monday night (May 21st).
