Finger Eleven's "Paralyzer" really moving
Finger Eleven might have the biggest hit of its career so far with "Paralyzer," which has cracked the Top Ten on every rock radio chart. The song is written from the point of view of a guy who's very uncomfortable with going out to a dance club, and singer Scott Anderson think it's something that many people can relate to: "I was never a club kid. I kind of missed that phase. I always had a problem with the kind of music that they played. I also have a problem because I don't dance. And I mean, I could just draw from my past experience and just go, 'You know, I hate these places, I don't belong.' If you've ever felt that way at a club, I mean, that's sort of what the song's getting at, and I can relate to that pretty strong."
"Paralyzer" comes off Finger Eleven's fourth album, Them vs. You vs. Me, which was released in March.
The band just kicked off a U.S. tour with Chevelle that pulls into Knoxville, Tennessee on Tuesday night (May 29th).
The Canadian act has been nominated for two of its home country's MuchMusic Video Awards, with the outdoor show scheduled to take place on June 17th at 9 p.m. ET in downtown Toronto.
