Former Creed singer arrested
Former Creed singer Scott Stapp was arrested Sunday (May 20th) at his Boca Raton, Florida home, and charged with assault related to domestic violence, the Associated Press reports. Stapp was charged with one count of domestic assault with intent to commit a felony, and was being held without bond, a Palm Beach County jail official said.
A Sheriff's Office spokesman said that no one was injured or taken to the hospital. No other details were available.
The 33-year-old Stapp married former Miss New York Jaclyn Nesheiwat last February. She told the Palm Beach Post, "It's just a rough time," but otherwise declined to comment on the incident.
Stapp and Nesheiwat have a four-month-old daughter named Milan Hayat. Stapp was previously married, and has an eight-year-old son named Jagger.
Stapp has had alcohol issues in the past, including an alcohol-related arrest at Los Angeles International Airport hours after his wedding to Nesheiwat, a drunken brawl in 2005 in a Baltimore hotel with members of 311, and a stint in rehab.
