Jackson Browne set for bi-coastal benefit concerts in June
Jackson Browne will log some serious air miles in June, when he's playing benefit shows on both sides of the country. The first fundraiser is June 2nd in Santa Monica, California, when he teams up with David Crosby and others at the For The Arts show, and the proceeds will go toward arts education programs in the Santa Monica and Malibu, California public schools. Browne has been a supporter and performer at this annual show in years past.
He'll then fly to New York City for his induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame on June 7th, after which he'll play benefit shows on June 9th and 10th in Barre, Vermont, in support of the local agriculture organization L.A.C.E.
Following those shows, Browne will return to New York City on June 11th, where he'll be given the Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award at the annual World Hunger Year Awards ceremony.
Browne will wrap up his East Coast good works by performing in Red Bank, New Jersey, on June 12th, and the proceeds from that event will go to the Joan Dancy And P.A.L.S. support group, which helps people with Lou Gehrig's Disease and their families live full lives.
