Korn posts new song online

Korn has posted a new song called "I Will Protect You" at its MySpace page. Korn singer Jonathan Davis wrote about the song, "We mixed it last night and we are really excited about this album. The label will probably get pissed, but f*** it." The track is likely to appear on the band's yet-to-be-titled eighth studio album, which is due out on July 24th.

Davis recently told Rolling Stone magazine that the new Korn record is "still the Korn sound, just definitely more atmospheric."

Korn will co-headline this summer's Family Values Tour with Evanescence. The 30-city trek begins on July 20th in St. Louis and ends on September 2nd in Irvine, California.

Slipknot's Joey Jordison will be Korn's guest drummer for both Family Values and this summer's European festival shows.

In other news, a June 26th release date has been set for the Hip-Hop Tribute to Korn, a CD featuring various hip-hop artists covering the group's songs. According to Blabbermouth, the same label, Tribute Sounds, has previously issued hip-hop tributes to Metallica, Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC, Def Leppard and Pink Floyd.
