Linkin Park picked "Revolution" lineup by committee

Linkin Park announced the details of this summer's Projekt Revolution tour on Monday (May 7th), with the diverse bill featuring My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, H.I.M., Placebo, Saosin, rappers Styles of Beyond and others. Linkin Park DJ Joseph Hahn and guitarist Brad Delson told us how the group went about selecting the lineup: (Hahn) "We have different committees within the group that are in charge of different things. Chester (Bennington, vocals) and Rob (Bourdon, drums), they're in charge of the touring committee, so they kind of do a lot of the legwork and they bring together a list of bands to us and we say yay or nay." (Delson) "They did a great job putting together this tour. The lineup is a really exciting one for us, and I hope for people who come and see the show."

Projekt Revolution will launch on July 25th in a city to be announced, with dates confirmed through September 3rd in Denver.

Linkin Park's new album, Minutes to Midnight, arrives on May 15th. The first single is "What I've Done."

Linkin Park will play a special concert this Friday (May 11th) at New York's Webster Hall, which will be filmed and then screened in selected movie theatres around the country on May 14th.
