New Weezer album on the way?

Is a new Weezer album possibly on the way? Several sharp-eyed fans, as well as RollingStone.com, discovered that a web site simply called albumsix.com rerouted automatically to the official Weezer site when visited. Weezer has been on an extended hiatus since the release of its fifth effort, 2005's Make Believe, and frontman Rivers Cuomo has hinted that he wasn't sure if the band would ever return. Although a publicist for Weezer's record label said that the group did not set up the "Album Six" site, it was in fact registered to the label itself.

Weezer is contracted to Universal Music for two more albums.

A demo of a new song by Cuomo, called "Pig," leaked online a few months back.

The singer and guitarist took time off last year to complete his degree at Harvard University, marry his longtime girlfriend and continue his meditation studies.
