Nickelback frontman reportedly in fight at club
Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger was reportedly involved in a fight outside a Vancouver nightclub in the early hours last Friday morning (May 4th), according to Canada's Jam! Music. The singer and guitarist allegedly punched another man in the face after the man continuously heckled him, shouting things like "Nickelback sucks," according to witnesses who described the scene to a local radio station. Police confirmed that there had been a fight at the club but did not provide additional details. An inquiry to Nickelback's publicist was not answered at press time.
This is Kroeger's second run-in with the law in the past two months. He had a brief altercation with police at a Vancouver strip club in late March, although no charges were filed.
The musician is still waiting to stand trial on charges of drinking and driving stemming from an incident last June in the Canadian town of Surrey.
Nickelback will kick off a summer tour on June 28th in St. Johns, Newfoundland, which will take the quartet through Canada, the U.S. Northeast and the Midwest.
