Nickelback leads video nominations
Nickelback leads this year's nominees for the MuchMusic video awards, the Canadian equivalent to the MTV Video Music Awards, according to Jam! Music. The nominations were announced on Wednesday (May 23rd), with the outdoor show scheduled to take place on June 17th at 9 p.m. ET in downtown Toronto. Billy Talent tied Nickelback for the most nominations with five, while other multiple Canadian contenders include Finger Eleven, Belly, Feist, Alexisonfire and k-os. International artists up for awards include Akon, Hilary Duff, Fergie, My Chemical Romance, Justin Timberlake and more.
The annual MuchMusic extravaganza has distinguished itself over the years with surprise celebrity appearances and wild stunts.
