Velvet Revolver has canceled all its previously announced tour dates in Europe after June 17th because of "scheduling conflicts" with other promotional activities in support of the band's upcoming Libertad album. The group expects to make up for the scrapped shows later in the year. Meanwhile, the first single from Libertad, "She Builds Quick Machines," is now available online. (Blabbermouth)
A Rush fan site has reported that the limited edition MVI version of the band's new effort, Snakes & Arrows, has been delayed one week to a June 12th release date. Also known as a DVD Album, the disc will contain the entire CD in 5.1 surround sound, along with a 43-minute video documentary on the making of the record. (Power Windows)
The Exies have been added to the lineup of this summer's Bad Boys of Rock tour, joining Hinder, Buckcherry and Papa Roach. The trek kicks off on July 13th in East Lansing, Michigan, with the bad boys expected to be on the road together through mid-September.
30 Seconds To Mars have had to withdraw from the Smashing Pumpkins tribute album being jointly released by MySpace and Spin magazine. A spokesperson said, "Their hectic touring schedule just didn't allow enough time to record the song." Panic! At The Disco, Plus 44, The Bravery and others are still on board, with their songs surfacing from now through June 18th at each band's MySpace page. The CD arrives on June 26th as a free bonus with the July issue of Spin. (MTV.com)
Franz Ferdinand posted a message online late last week announcing that the group is planning to play "a couple of small shows in Glasgow and one in New York in the next few weeks." The Scottish quartet intends to try out a few new songs at the gigs. More details are expected shortly. (Tripwire News
