Rolling Stones rehearsing for Euro tour
The Rolling Stones were hard at work this weekend (Saturday and Sunday, May 26th and 27th) rehearsing in Brussels for their rescheduled European dates. According to fan reports on the website iorr.org (itsonlyrockandroll.org), the band ran through such 1960s classics as "Let's Spend The Night Together," "Let It Bleed," "You Got The Silver," and "Monkey Man"; '70s and '80s favorites including "Bitch," "All Down The Line," "Loving Cup," "Heartbreaker," "Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)," "Shattered," "She's So Cold," and "Undercover Of The Night"; and newer material such as "Love Is Strong," "You Got Me Rocking," and "Oh No, Not You Again."
Mick Jagger says that the band faces an element of the unknown every time they hit the stage: "You never really know what's gonna happen. You never know what the audience is gonna be like, you never know how they're gonna behave, you, you expect them to do certain things, but they don't always do that, and you don't always do the same things that you've done the night before. That's what brings you into live playing, what makes live playing so interesting."
The Rolling Stones kick off their European tour on June 5th in Werchter, Belgium. Their tour wraps up in late August.
