Ronnie Wood to perform with Prince?
Ronnie Wood recently turned down an offer to jam with Prince, but the two musicians do plan to get together in London this summer. That's according to Wood's daughter Leah, who told the British newspaper The Daily Mirror, "Prince called up my dad an hour before his show in Camden, and asked him to join him on stage." She added that her father was on his way to the airport for a flight out of town, but since Prince has announced a long residency in London this summer, Ronnie said he would join him on one of those dates. Leah said he will "spike up his hair especially" for the occasion.
The Rolling Stones end their summer tour in London on August 26th, and Prince will be in the city at least until September 13th.
Ronnie told us that predominantly black music has always meant a lot to him: "Yeah, it's very important to me. It's part of my upbringing, and from traditional jazz and blues and soul -- it's very important."
