Rush brings out Snakes and Arrows

Rush releases its 18th studio album on Tuesday (May 1st), titled Snakes and Arrows. This is the first collection of all-new Rush material since 2002's Vapor Trails, and bassist/singer Geddy Lee told us that he's the one who usually gets the writing and recording process in motion: [ Click to listen if you have a backstage pass] "I think it's usually me, because I have more Jewish guilt than the other guys do. And even though I have no problem completely disregarding my responsibilities for at least a year, after a year and a couple of months I start feeling a bit like I should really probably do something that's less indulgent than collecting wine or going to ball games or playing tennis."

An enhanced version of Snakes and Arrows will be released on MVI disc on June 5th. It will come with high-resolution audio, 5.1 Surround Sound, and a 43-minute documentary on the making of the album, titled Rush: The Game Of Snakes & Arrows.

"Far Cry" is the first single from the album.

Rush will begin a North American tour in support of Snakes and Arrows on June 13th in Atlanta, wrapping up on September 22nd in Toronto, Canada.
