The Smashing Pumpkins played a hefty 29 songs and unveiled their new lineup on Tuesday night (May 22nd) at the Grand Rex in Paris, France, as the band returned to the stage for its first live performance since December 2nd, 2000. The group also debuted material from its upcoming Zeitgeist album during the three-hour show, which marked the much-rumored debut of guitarist Jeff Schroeder, bassist Ginger Reyes and keyboard player Lisa Hamilton alongside founding frontman Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin.

The set featured Pumpkins classics such as "Today," "Bullet with Butterfly Wings," "Cherub Rock," "1979," "Tonight, Tonight," "Disarm" and "Zero" alongside new tracks like "Tarantula," "Doomsday Clock" and show opener "United States."

The group now embarks on a series of European festival dates before coming home for a nine-show residency in Asheville, North Carolina in late June and early July, followed by an 11-show stand in San Francisco in late July.

The Pumpkins will also play the Live Earth concert in New Jersey on July 7th, as well as the Virgin Festival in Baltimore on August 5th.

Zeitgeist arrives on July 10th.
