Stephen Stills ready to give CNS a break

Stephen Stills says that despite Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's recent high-profile tour, he's ready to let the band be for a while and enjoy his solo career. Stills, who's currently out on the road as a solo act, explained to New York's Journal News that, "I want to make another solo album and give CSN (a breather). We worked for two and a half solid years, and I think it's time for a rest."

He added that, "(David Crosby and Graham Nash) should evolve some more on their own and just go and do some other kind of playing. That will just make it more exciting to get back together after that. And it gives me the chance to really take this (solo work) and run with it for awhile. It's something I've needed to do for a while."

Stills is currently working on an autobiography. He says that he's taking his time writing the memoir, and working without a co-writer.

Stephen Stills performs tonight (Wednesday, May 9th) in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Neighborhood Theatre. He'll be on the road through July and just added a new stop to the solo tour, announcing a July 11th show in Anaheim, California at the House Of Blues.
