The Steve Miller Band to play benefit in NY, then tour

The Steve Miller Band is the featured performer at a fundraiser in New York City this month. The group will play the 2nd annual Matt's Promise Benefit Concert on May 16th at Skylight Studios, and tickets cost $500 a seat or $5,000 a table. Proceeds from the event will go to Matt's Promise, an organization that funds research and treatment options for terminal illnesses that affect young people.

Following the benefit, Miller and company will hit the road. They start things off May 21st in Milwaukee, and there are dates booked through November 13th in Friant, California.
