"You Really Got Me" amp on eBay
Kinks lead guitarist Dave Davies is getting rid of a vintage amplifier, and selling it on eBay. He's auctioning off a Vox AC-30 that according to the listing was "used extensively on famous historical Kinks recordings in the late '60s and early '70s and countless hits!"
The 110-watt amp shows signs of wear, but the description says it's been "fully serviced" in the past week or so, and it's "confirmed to be in 100 percent working order." To check it out and make a bid, to go ebay.co.uk and search for "Kinks AC30." The auction ends next Wednesday (May 16th).
The listing also reads, "This amp has a heart, a big, pumping heart, and it beats out rock -- raw and with passion. Just turn it on and plug in... and you'll never look back without a huge, massive, big grinning smile on your face."
