Bruce Springsteen releases live album
Bruce Springsteen released his fifth live album on Tuesday, June 5th, titled Bruce Springsteen With The Sessions Band Live In Dublin, and he's already hard at work on his first album with the E Street Band in five years.
Rollingstone.com reported that The Boss has been spotted all over Atlanta while recording the rumored E Street Band album at Southern Tracks studios with various bandmembers. The E Street Band last recorded at Southern Tracks with producer Brendan O' Brien for 2002's The Rising. No official word of any album or tour has been announced, but according to the article "all signs point to the album coming out around September with a worldwide E Street Band tour to follow."
The Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC), reported that "The Boss" recently made the rounds at a local record and book store, and bought a CD by the Dropkick Murphys, a Jimi Hendrix DVD, and a Joe Strummer biography, which he said were for his kids.
Springsteen's last original studio set, 2005's Devils & Dust, was also partly recorded in Atlanta.
Bruce Springsteen With The Sessions Band Live In Dublin features a concert DVD, a Blu-ray Disc, and a separate two-CD set.
In addition to material from the album We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions, highlights on the new set include more folk-oriented arrangements of such Springsteen favorites as "Blinded By The Light," "Growin' Up," "Atlantic City," "You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch)," "Open All Night," "Bobby Jean," "For You," "If I Should Fall Behind," and "The River."
Live In Dublin follows other notable live Springsteen sets, including 1986's Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - Live/1975-85, 1993's In Concert/MTV Plugged, 2001's Live In New York City, and last year's archival release Hammersmith Odeon London '75.
