Classic Rock quick hits

A new Guns N' Roses song called "Better" has reportedly been airing for the last couple of days on Texas radio station KRFQ. But unlike past incidents where stations aired leaked and allegedly unfinished versions of songs, the station claims that this is an official release of the track that was sent by the band's record label. The station itself is about two hours away from Monterrey, Mexico, where GN'R kicked off a world tour on Saturday (June 2nd). (GnrDaily.com)

Aerosmith made its Middle East debut on Friday (June 1st) when it played in the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai. Following that, the band will perform for the first time in India. At a press conference in Dubai, singer Steven Tyler noted the band's affection for India despite never having been there, including the fact that his son has an Indian name -- Taj -- and that the band wrote a song in 1997 called "Taste of India." Meanwhile, guitarist Joe Perry added, "Our music company is called Vindaloo Music. We have been fascinated by the Indian culture and food and all of that." (Blabbermouth)
