Rolling Stones battling over sobriety
Rolling Stones guitarists Keith Richards and Ron Wood are reportedly on the outs due to Richards branding the now-sober Wood a bore.According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, the pair almost came to blows before the band's recent concert in Belgium, when Richards' teasing of Wood got too much for him. Wood, who had been Richards' primary drinking buddy on the road for decades, has been struggling over the past few years to curtail his legendary love of Guinness beer.
Wood's son Jamie put the feuding rumors to rest by saying, "Dad is dad and Keith's Keith. They are always falling out with each other. They are like a pair of teenagers sometimes. They went for dinner the other night and everything is fine."
Ron Wood says that he and Richards are always amazed at what the press will run with in a story: [

I say, 'Keith, what are you talking about? I did say that but I didn't say that.' And he'll go, 'Well, somebody was here today and they said you did.' I said, 'Alright, you want to believe them?' You know, And he'll go 'Oh, alright then.' You know?" Ron Wood is the Stones' third lead guitarist, following co-founder Brian Jones and then Mick Taylor. Wood began touring with the Stones in 1975 while still a member of the Faces. He made first studio appearance on the band's 1974 album It's Only Rock And Roll.
The Rolling Stones are currently on tour in Europe and performed on Thursday (June 21st) in Barcelona.
