New era for Queens Of The Stone Age
Queens Of The Stone Age released their fifth album on Tuesday (June 12th), titled Era Vulgaris. The group's 2005 effort, Lullabies to Paralyze, was marked by pressure to follow up the commercially successful Songs for the Deaf, not to mention the contentious departure of longtime bassist Nick Oliveri. This time around, frontman Josh Homme told us that making Era Vulgaris was a more relaxed affair: [

And I think because of that, it's got a real electric vibe to it. It sounds like everything's charged, electrically charged. And that's how I feel too, I feel like almost hyper about it, you know. Sort of like a flasher, like I'm ready to open my jacket." Queens Of The Stone Age recently overhauled the band's official website, qotsa.com, unveiling a new design and also posting behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the video for current single "Sick, Sick, Sick."
The group recently announced details of the "Duluth" tour, which will begin on July 22nd in Costa Mesa, California and play less-traveled concert markets like Billings, Montana and Eugene, Oregon.
