Evanescence "having a great time"
Evanescence singer Amy Lee said during a Wednesday (July 11th) press conference that the band is "a lot healthier" after the May personnel changes that saw Dark New Day guitarist Troy McLawhorn and drummer Will Hunt replace longtime members John LeCompt and Rocky Gray. Although this lineup is just a touring unit for now, Lee said that she'd like to possibly do more: [

I just don't want to, like, get in the way of what they want to do with Dark New Day because I actually really admire and respect the band. I think their music is really great. But we're definitely having a great time playing together and I hope we get to play together a lot more. And I would write with both of them. I think they're very talented." Evanescence will join Korn as co-headliners on this summer's Family Values tour of America which begins next Friday (July 20th) in St. Louis.
Lee said that the group has come up with a whole new stage set for the tour, centered around a wall of mirrors.
Following Family Values, Evanescence will likely hit the road again on its own headlining tour.
Evanescence will issue "Good Enough" as the next single from the band's second major label album, The Open Door, which came out last October.
Dark New Day will resume work on its sophomore effort later this year.
