Finger Eleven tops the chart with "Paralyzer"
Finger Eleven has reached a career first with its current single, "Paralyzer," which has hit Number One on the Active Rock airplay chart, with the song also entering the Top Five on the Alternative chart. Singer Scott Anderson said he's just happy that the song, which is about feeling out of place at a dance club, has connected with so many people: "You know, I'm just glad it translates for other people. I mean, there's something about putting a song on a record and having the, you know, obviously the band has some sort of emotional, you know, attachment to it, but it's always nice when that translates to somebody else outside the band. That's great, and it seems to be doing fantastic. It's great when we play it live, it gets a nice sort of visceral reaction, so I couldn't be more proud."
"Paralyzer" is taken from Finger Eleven's fourth album, Them vs. You vs. Me, which came out this past spring.
The track is also in the Top Ten on the iTunes alternative songs chart and is a Top 40 Verizon ringtone.
Finger Eleven will begin a U.S. tour on July 17th in Cleveland, alternating headlining shows with dates supporting Nickelback. The group will continue headlining on its own in the fall.
