Foo Fighters frontman goes "Green"
Sales of Foo Fighters albums went up an incredible 1,000% in the U.K. after the band's showstopping performance at London's Wembley Stadium on July 7th as part of the Live Earth series of concerts. Retailers in England reported the surge in both CD and online download sales for the group, whose appearance was widely considered one of the day's highlights. The band is gearing up for the September 25th release of its sixth studio album, titled Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace, with a U.S. tour scheduled for September and October.When asked at Live Earth what he had done to offset the effects of climate change, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl pointed to several measures: [

So we've done that, simple recycling, which we've always done, not using shopping bags at supermarkets, bringing our own...yeah, you know, just doing the small things that we all need to do in order to make a little bit of change." Grohl also said he used energy-efficient lightbulbs and drove his car less.
Foo Fighters previewed some songs from the new album at a surprise show for 100 fans in London on July 5th.
The upcoming CD will also feature Grohl playing piano for the first time ever on a Foo Fighters record.
