Guns N' Roses reunion next week?
At least four-fifths of the original Guns N' Roses lineup may reunite next week at a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the release of the band's classic debut album, Appetite For Destruction. According to GuitarWorld.com, founding drummer Steven Adler confirmed that he'll be at the event for sure, which is scheduled for July 28th at the Key Club in Los Angeles. Adler said, "I'll be down there with my band and Slash (guitars), Izzy (Stradlin', guitars) and Duff (McKagan, bass) will be there too. It's gonna be great."While it's doubtful that singer Axl Rose will show up, Adler said that he expects a full reunion to happen eventually, explaining, "Axl and I spoke to each other in Las Vegas recently, and I know there's a chance. It's just too big. Whatever the Stones make when they play, we'd triple it. It'd be ridiculous not to do it. He can't be that goofy."
Tickets for the Key Club show are on sale now through Ticketmaster.com. The venue's site lists Adler's Appetite, L.A. Guns and "very special guests" appearing that night.
The current Guns N' Roses, with Rose as the sole original member, plays in Osaka, Japan on Saturday (July 21st).
Slash and McKagan's band, Velvet Revolver, just released its second album, Libertad, and will hit the road next month with Alice In Chains.
