John Fogerty streams track from upcoming solo album
John Fogerty has revelead a new track from his upcoming solo album Revival, which is due out in either September or October. The track is called "Summer of Love," and can be streamed at rollingstone.com/rockdaily.
At least one track on "Revival" is critical of President George W. Bush.
Fogerty, who joined Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, John Mellencamp, Bonnie Raitt and others for the Vote For Change tour during the final weeks of the 2004 presidential campaign, told us that current events are calling for people to become more politically minded: [
Click to listen if you have a backstage pass] "We're living in a time when I think maybe the cages should be rattled, but it's certainly a different environment than the '60s or early '70s when cages were rattled. Certainly the current administration is back to that other view where, 'Oh man, you're not supposed to protest. That's un-American.' You know, I don't care which party you're part of, that just never flies with most Americans, I don't think."
John Fogerty's next North American date will be on July 17th in Montreal, at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier.
