New Heaven & Hell tour dates announced
Heaven And Hell, the Black Sabbath offshoot group featuring singer Ronnie James Dio, has added eight new dates to its upcoming fall North American tour. The band is returning to these shores following its immensely popular spring run, which featured Dio, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Vinnie Appice performing together for the first time in 15 years. The trek will feature Alice Cooper in the "special guest" slot right before Heaven And Hell, with Queensryche also on the bill as opening act.Tickets for many of the eight new dates go on sale this weekend.
A CD and DVD of the reunited band's first U.S. show, at Radio City Music Hall in New York this past March, will arrive on August 28th.
Ronnie James Dio turned 65 years old on Tuesday (July 10th). He was born in New Hampshire as Ronald Padavona, but grew up in upstate New York. His first band, Ronnie and the Red Caps, issued its debut single in 1958.
