Osbourne's first band, Black Sabbath, did its debut U.S. tour as Mountain's opening act.
The singer recorded Mountain's "Mississippi Queen" for his Prince of Darkness box set in 2005.
Osbourne is currently headlining this summer's free edition of Ozzfest, which stops in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday (July 24th).
A report in the San Jose Mercury News last Thursday (July 19th) indicated that about half of the fans who had received free tickets to the festival through its sponsors' web sites actually showed up for its Sacramento, California date on the 17th.
