Radiohead finishing album in New York?
The mystery surrounding Radiohead's seventh album continued to deepen over the last few days as a post at fan web site ateaseweb.com described a meeting between the person who wrote the post and Radiohead members Colin Greenwood and Ed O'Brien in New York City. According to the post, the fan was at a listening party for indie band Spoon when he bumped into the musicians and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. The post stated, "They're in the city mastering the album. Then they're going to listen to it, see what they think. So, we're almost there, maybe."
The person's friend asked Greenwood about whether a new song called "Nude" would appear on the album, but Greenwood was allegedly evasive about it. The band performed the track during its 2006 tour.
Radiohead has been working on its latest effort for much of the last year, although few details have been available. No title or release date has been announced yet, and the group has not signed with a new record label following the completion of its contract with EMI Music.
The British group's last CD was 2003's Hail to the Thief.
