Sting to pay $51,000 for sexual discrimination
Sting and wife Trudie Styler have been ordered to pay their former cook $51,000 in damages in a sexual discrimination case. The Associated Press reported that Jane Martin won the claim in May, which found that Sting and Styler had fired her upon learning that she was pregnant.
In her suit, Martin, who worked for the couple for eight years, claimed that Styler had a "grandiose ego" and upon finding out that she was pregnant, demanded that she work long hours and grew angry when Martin took time off while sick.
Sting and Styler have said that they will appeal the decision.
Sting along with the Police will perform tomorrow night (Thursday, July 19th) in Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park.
