Avenged Sevenfold kicks off tour in L.A.
Avenged Sevenfold kicks off a six-week U.S. tour on Monday night (October 29th), its first major jaunt in support of the band's self-titled fourth album, which comes out on Tuesday (October 30th). The band is playing clubs and theatres on this run, with guitarist Synyster Gates and singer M. Shadows telling us that they want to keep things on a smaller scale for now: [

So it's pretty cool." (Shadows) "We have some big stuff planned for, like, February and on that we wanna come back and hit the markets in. Like, just big tour, blow it out, and just huge production on that tour."
Avenged Sevenfold's 30-date tour is slated to wrap up on December 16th in Seattle.
The band will perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday night.
Anyone who buys the new Avenged Sevenfold album at iTunes will receive a bonus version of the band's latest single, "Almost Easy," for which they can devise their own guitar solo. The solos can be uploaded at avengedsevenfold.com, where a winner picked by Synyster Gates will receive an autographed Synyster Gates Signature Model guitar from Schecter Guitar Research and other prizes.
