Dave Matthews Band to play free shows

The Dave Matthews Band will play two free shows at West Point Military Academy in New York on November 14th and 15th. The U.S. Military Academy won the World's Loudest Pep Rally contest to snag a visit from the band. According to the Associated Press, it beat out the Air Force, Navy and more than 100 other colleges. AT&T sponsored the contest, which asked participants to submit invitations by text messages or postings at attblueroom.com. Cadets from West Point did everything from hip-hop dances to asking Matthews: "West Point NEEDS someone to ROCK our stonewalled campus."

The next Dave Matthews Band show is scheduled for November 13th in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
