My Chemical Romance planning charity concert
My Chemical Romance will play a special benefit show at Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey on Wednesday, October 24th, according to an email sent out to the band's fan mailing list. Tickets for the event went on sale on Monday (October 15th) at $100 each, with a limit of two per customer. All proceeds from the concert will be donated to charity, although the group has not yet named which organization it is supporting. There will be no physical tickets for the show. Attendees will need to show a copy of their order receipt and a valid photo I.D. to be admitted.
My Chemical Romance will also open two shows for Bon Jovi on October 25th and 26th as part of the grand opening of the new Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
The Goth-punk band will play one more show, on the 27th in Orono, Maine, before heading overseas for a European jaunt.
My Chemical Romance has been on the road for most of the past 12 months in support of its 2006 album, The Black Parade.
