Ozzy Osbourne defends wife against brother
Ozzy Osbourne defended his wife and manager Sharon against accusations by her brother than she is working her husband to death. On a conference call with reporters this week, Ozzy said, "Let me put this straight -- my wife does not get involved with telling me about working. My wife can't make me do anything I don't want to do. I think the guy needs to see a f***ing psychiatrist." Sharon's brother, David Arden, told a U.K. tabloid that Sharon "will keep Ozzy on the road until... he dies on stage," adding that Ozzy has to tour constantly because of Sharon's "exorbitant spending." Sharon and her brother reportedly had a falling out at the funeral of their father, legendary manager Don Arden, earlier this year.
Ozzy also told reporters that he will be headlining the 2008 Ozzfest "as far as I know," but was not sure whether he would be doing any live or studio work with Black Sabbath next year.
He also said he was not participating in a documentary about his late guitarist, Randy Rhoads, which began filming earlier this year.
Ozzy will hit the road with Rob Zombie later this month as he continues to support his latest solo album, Black Rain.
