Sharon overworks Ozzy Osbourne
Ozzy Osbourne's brother-in-law, David Arden, whose sister Sharon is Ozzy's wife and manager, says that Sharon is overworking her husband with a punishing schedule that may very well kill him. According to Gigwise.com, Arden told U.K. tabloid the Sun that Sharon "will keep Ozzy on the road until...he dies on stage." Ozzy is slated to launch a U.S. tour later this fall and Arden also claims that Sharon is working on a Black Sabbath trek to follow that. Arden also said that Ozzy has to tour constantly because of Sharon's "exorbitant spending," although he added that Ozzy "wouldn't know what to do if he ever retired." Sharon and her brother reportedly had a falling out at the funeral of their father, legendary manager Don Arden, earlier this year. David Arden has apparently decided to speak out following rumors that Sharon plans to alter facts about their family in her upcoming second autobiography.
Meanwhile, according to Perez-Hilton.com, Sharon Osbourne recently said that she and Ozzy would rather commit assisted suicide than live with Alzheimer's disease. Sharon said, "We believe 100 percent in euthanasia, so have drawn up plans to go to the assisted suicide flat in Switzerland if we ever have an illness that affects our brains. If Ozzy or I ever got Alzheimer's, that's it -- we'd be off...There's no way I could go through what (my father) did, or put my kids through that."
Finally, overworked or not, Ozzy himself spoke out recently to Entertainment Tonight in defense of beleaguered pop diva Britney Spears. Ozzy said, "I think (the media) are very unfair to Britney Spears...give her a break. I don't know what the inside story is, all I see is this broken thing on TV every night. She'll die! She might kill herself! I hope she doesn't."
