Slash: Axl Rose is to blame

But something with Axl was very insecure and it just kept the band from sort of functioning properly. Although he was wanting to do things, I never to this day really understand exactly what he was getting at. And because it took so long to ever get anything done, I always attribute it to some sort of fear factor." Slash will publish a memoir titled Slash: The Autobiography on October 30th. Much of the book recounts the guitarist's drug-fueled days with Guns N' Roses and reaffirms his reputation as one of rock's wildest icons.
Velvet Revolver has been on the road in support of its second album, Libertad, released earlier this year. The band has one date left on its current tour with Alice In Chains, on October 26th in Irvine, California, before heading to Japan and Australia.
There's still no sign of the long-delayed Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy, despite rumors of an early 2008 arrival.
