Nikki Sixx and wife reach divorce settlement
Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx and his former wife, model and actress Donna D'Errico, reached a settlement on Wednesday (November 28th) in their divorce case, according to KNBC-TV in Los Angeles. The often bitter trial was brought over the division of the couple's assets, with Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Thomas Trent Lewis signing a judgment to make the settlement terms official. Details of the agreement were not made public, except that both Sixx and D'Errico have agreed to waive spousal support. The trial took a dramatic turn three weeks ago when D'Errico collapsed in the courthouse restroom during proceedings. The former Baywatch star complained of breathing problems and said they were related to a case of asthmatic bronchitis aggravated by the recent Southern California wildfires.
D'Errico fired her lawyer in September and represented herself during the trial.
Sixx and D'Errico had previously agreed on visitation rights for their six-year-old daughter, Frankie-Jean. She has a 14-year-old son from a previous relationship and he has three children from a prior marriage.
D'Errico filed for divorce in April of 2006. The 10-year marriage was officially ended in June of that year.
In the early stages of the trial, Sixx testified that he had been told D'Errico once worked as a prostitute in Las Vegas, although D'Errico's lawyer at the time denied that claim.
Sixx has been promoting his memoir The Heroin Diaries and the accompanying "soundtrack" album from his Sixx: A.M. project.
