Paul Rodgers: Led Zeppelin show should be about Ertegun

Bad Company and Free frontman Paul Rodgers is among the artists set to play Led Zeppelin's December 10th reunion concert in London. Also performing are Pete Townshend, Foreigner, Paolo Nutini and Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. The gig is a tribute to the late co-founder of Atlantic Records, Ahmet Ertegun, who helped discover Zeppelin and push them to international fame. Rodgers tells us that he understands the excitement about a Led Zep reunion, but thinks it's also important to remember Ertegun: [ Click to listen if you have a backstage pass] "I can see that -- because I mean they had like 2.5 million hits on their web site. But I don't think it should be forgotten really what the focus should be."

Rodgers plans to perform an acoustic track off of Bad Company's debut album, as well as Free's hit song, "All Right Now" at the concert.

Rodgers has been in the studio with Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen working on an album, which is expected out next year.
