Robert Plant and Alison Krauss debut at Number Two on the chart

Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant's and Alison Krauss' duet album Raising Sand debuted at Number Two on the Billboard 200 chart in its first week out. This marks the highest debut for either artist, with a total sales of 112,308 albums in one week.

The album was also Number One on the rock chart, Number Two on the country album sales chart, Number Two in digital sales and Number Two in Internet sales.

The duo is scheduled to make several media appearances in England to promote the project.

A 2008 tour in support of the album is currently being planned.
