Van Halen: 2008 tour dates keep on coming

Van Halen has added a round of additional tour dates for 2008, including return visits to New York City's Madison Square Garden and New Jersey's Izod Arena. The band has also added stops in Dallas, Texas, New Orleans, Louisiana and Atlantic City, New Jersey, among other cities. Tickets for some dates begin going on sale December 1st.

In other news, Perez Hilton recently posted what he's calling a "not so-blind" news item, hinting that Eddie Van Halen might have "fallen off the wagon." Eddie did a stint in rehab earlier this year, but Perez is now writing: "What aging rocker that recently completed a stint in rehab has fallen off the wagon while on tour? Drinking alone in the van is no fun!"

For the first time, Van Halen has released official cell phone ring tones featuring clips of the songs "Jump," "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love," "Runnin' With The Devil," "Jamie's Cryin'," "Unchained," "Panama," and "Hot For Teacher." Van Halen ringtones are available now by searching "Van Halen" on mobile phones from all major carriers or by sending the text message "VH" to 74466.

Van Halen's tour, which features David Lee Roth behind the mic for the first time in 22 years, kicked off in late September. Wolfgang Van Halen, teenage son of guitarist Eddie Van Halen, is on bass instead of original member Michael Anthony.
