He's told me some of the ideas which sound really intriguing again, and as usual from Pete, it's never dull. It's always these wonderful kind of stories that go along with it. It's always exciting when he talks about where he is and the spaces he's in when he's writing his music. I've always been of the opinion that he will write some of his best work when he's an older man, so I'm still living in hope." Daltrey says that he and Townshend have been discussing different ways to please hardcore fans who want them to perform more rarities than they have included in their recent arena shows: [

You know, I'd like to do indeed an acoustic set somewhere, you know do 'Imagine A Man,' and maybe do a question and answer thing with an audience. So it's a totally different type of show; 40 minutes and then do a 40 minute chat, question and answer and talk to the audience. It could be a lot of fun and I think it could make a very interesting night out." So far no dates have been announced for any upcoming Who shows, although Daltrey has said that the band will be touring Japan and probably Australia in the new year. Daltrey said that the show would feature the same layout as the Who's 2006-2007 tour, with the emphasis on Endless Wire material balanced out with the band's classic hits.
Out now on DVD is the Who's definitive documentary called Amazing Journey: The Story Of The Who. A bonus DVD featuring 90 minutes of the Who's December 8th, 1979 concert at the Chicago Amphitheatre is exclusively available at Best Buy stores.
Roger Daltrey will perform with Joe Walsh and Jack Bruce as part of the Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp on Sunday (November 11th) in Las Vegas at the House Of Blues.
