Foo Fighters planning big rock show for 2008 tour
Foo Fighters have announced that they'll be bringing along up-and-coming punk rock outfit Against Me! as the opening act on their early 2008 tour, but that's not all the Grammy-nominated band will have in tow. Frontman Dave Grohl told us why Foo Fighters plan to give fans a big rock show this time: [

We've played New York, God, 20 or 30 times, we've played Dallas, Texas 10 or 12 times, we've played Chicago 15 or 20 times, so this tour we wanted to do something different. We're bringing along some production that might take you by surprise. I'm looking forward to it, it's gonna be exciting." Foo Fighters will begin their first full-length North American tour in support of their latest album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, on January 16th in Sunrise, Florida.
The band announced two additional dates this week, on March 3rd at the Cox Arena in San Diego and March 5th at the Forum in Los Angeles.
Dave Grohl was in London on Monday night (December 10th) to attend the Led Zeppelin reunion concert. Grohl has a Zeppelin tattoo.
Foo Fighters have been nominated for five Grammy Awards this year, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song and Best Hard Rock Performance.
