A statue of the late, legendary AC/DC vocalist Bon Scott will be unveiled on February 24th, 2008 at the Claremont Showgrounds in Perth, Western Australia. A number of Australian acts will perform at the event, along with original AC/DC frontman Dave Evans and early bassist Mark Evans. There's no word on whether any of the current members of AC/DC will attend. (aussierock.com.au)

Queens Of The Stone Age has posted a short clip online of the band's recent performance 2,300 feet beneath the surface of the Earth in a German salt mine, which was jokingly billed as the most underground rock concert of all time. The group plans to post more extensive footage of the concert soon and may include it on a DVD as well. (QOTSA.com)

Australian trio Sick Puppies, who have been on the road opening for Evanescence, have posted a new holiday song called "Killing Myself For Christmas" on their MySpace page. The group has been touring behind its debut album, Dressed Up As Life, which features the single "All The Same," the basis for a hugely successful YouTube video. (Absolute Punk)
