Third Party apologizes for removal of Led Zep clips from YouTube
In the continuing story of the removal of Led Zeppelin reunion concert footage from YouTube earlier this week, a third party company has taken responsibility for the removal of the videos. Sources had originally said that the takedown orders had come from the band and its management, but now the company Grayzone has issued a statement taking responsibility and apologizing for the mistake, blabbermouth.com reports.
It's unknown if the material will reappear on YouTube.
Less than 24 hours after the band performed "Stairway to Heaven" on Monday night (December 10th), the clip of it had been seen over 500,000 times on YouTube. A clip of "Good Times Bad Times" had been viewed over 250,000 times.
In other Led Zeppelin news, a new unofficial biography of singer Robert Plant, titled Robert Plant: Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page & The Solo Years, by Neil Daniels, will be released February 28.
