Alice Cooper: "I'm mainstream"
Alice Cooper may be appearing in a Bridgestone Tires ad set to run during this year's Superbowl.Bridgestone's ad agency reportedly came up with 140 different concepts for ads for the Superbowl, of which three were chosen to produce, and two will be aired during the game. One of the ads being produced features celebrities, including Cooper and fitness guru Richard Simmons.
Bridgestone is also sponsoring the game's halftime show, which will feature Tom Pretty & the Heartbreakers. The Superbowl will air on February 3rd on FOX-TV.
Cooper told us that people no longer regard him as dangerous or outside the mainstream: [

I used to be the outer fringe. I think Alice now is woven in as much as Simon & Garfunkel, as much as Tom Petty, as much as anybody that's in the fabric of American music. I'm Americana."
