Clapton & Police to headline London gig

Eric Clapton and the Police are among the headliners set for the 2008 Hard Rock Calling concerts in London's Hyde Park on June 28th and 29th.

Pollstar.com reported that Clapton will headline Day One, with other performers set to include Sheryl Crow, John Mayer and other acts yet to be announced.

Day Two will feature the Police, KT Tunstall, Starsailor and other additional acts.

Other major acts who have headlined previous Hard Rock Calling shows include the Who, Peter Gabriel, Roger Waters, and Aerosmith.

The Hard Rock Calling show will be the Police's second UK festival show in June. On June 15th they'll headline the Isle Of Wight Festival.

The Police next perform on Friday and Saturday night (February 1st and 2nd) in Perth, Australia.

Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood will perform together at New York's Madison Square Garden on February 25th, 26th, and 28th.
