Foo Fighters postpone shows
Foo Fighters postponed Monday night's (January 28th) show in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Tuesday night's (January 29th) performance in Oklahoma City, according to Alternative Press. Illness in the band was given as the reason for the postponements, although no further details were available. The dates will be rescheduled in the weeks ahead. The tour will resume on Friday (February 1st) in Reno, Nevada.Meanwhile, opening act Against Me! is looking to book a couple of quick shows while they wait for the Foo Fighters trek to resume. The band posted a message online saying, "So now we have four days off in a row with nothing to do. If you live in OKC, Albuquerque, or Las Vegas (or somewhere on the way to any of those places) and can help us out with a show, any kind of show, drop us a line."
Foo Fighters have been nominated for five Grammy Awards this year, including Album of the Year for its latest effort, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, plus Record of the Year for the CD's first single, "The Pretender."
The band will perform at the Grammy Awards on February 10th. Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones will accompany them as special guest conductor of the "Foo Fighters orchestra," which will give up to 20 unsigned musicians the opportunity to play with the band.
