Ozzy Osbourne postpones first 2008 gig
Ozzy Osbourne postponed his show at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine on Thursday (January 3rd) after coming down with the flu. The concert, which was supposed to open the latest leg of Ozzy's fall/winter North American trek, has been rescheduled to January 31st. All tickets for the original date will be honored. Portland-based fans also have an opportunity to purchase specially-priced tickets for Ozzy's January 8th show in Worcester, Massachusetts via Ticketmaster by entering the password "Portland." Ozzy is touring in support of his first studio album in six years, 2007's Black Rain, which was recently certified gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies.
It's rumored that Ozzy and Paul McCartney may perform a duet at this year's Brit Awards on "Live And Let Die," the McCartney-written Wings hit for the 1973 James Bond film of the same name. The awards ceremony is scheduled for February 20th in London.
